This picture is so sweet and touching. Forney is one of my favorite characters in the book. I absolutely love the way he treats Novalee. He respects her, loves her and just treats her and Americus like gold. Every girl should have a man like that. Novalee and Forney are perfect for eachother.
I agree completely when you say Forney treats both Americus and Novalee like gold. He is that kind of man that should be with every girl in the world. I agree with you both! I think that Willy Jack wasn't at all ready to be a father but Forney is the total opposite. He really loves Americus as if she were his own daughter. He truly cares about Novalee and Americus's well being and I think it's really sweet. -ClubTucker
